Residential Rodent Control in Obetz
Most of our Obetz work is residential. The calls come from older homes near the rail line, newer builds off Groveport Road, and everything in between. Mice in kitchens and rats in basements are the two biggest issues, and both get worse in fall and winter. We handle the full job: inspection, trapping, baiting, exclusion and follow-up. If you have kids or pets, we place bait stations where they cannot reach them and use snap traps in the main living areas.
Mice in kitchen cabinets are the most common call we get in Obetz. We inspect the kitchen and the garage-to-house wall, set snap traps along the wall and behind appliances, and seal the gaps mice use to get in. Most jobs take two to three visits over two weeks.
Rats in basements and crawl spaces need a different approach than mice. We use larger traps and secured bait stations, then seal foundation gaps and crawl space doors. In Obetz, we also check drain entries and utility penetrations, which are common rat paths.
Attic infestations leave droppings and damaged insulation behind. We inspect with flashlights and mirrors, remove contaminated material where needed, and seal the roofline and soffit gaps with exclusion mesh. This is common in older Obetz homes with original vents.
Exclusion is the permanent fix. We seal garage corners, sill plates, dryer vents and pipe penetrations with copper mesh, steel wool, hardware cloth and exclusion sealant. For Obetz homes, we focus on the garage-to-house wall first because that is where most rodents get inside.
