Residential Rodent Control in Loveland
Most of our Loveland work is residential. The city has a mix of older homes near the river and newer builds east of town, and each type has its own rodent problems. Older homes need more exclusion work because their foundations have more gaps. Newer homes need us to check the utility penetrations and attic vents that builders leave open. Either way, the goal is the same: clear the rodents, seal the entry points, and keep them out.
Mice in kitchen calls are our most common Loveland job. We set snap traps along the baseboards and inside cabinets, use tracking powder to map the runways, and seal the pipe gaps that let them in. Most homes are clear in two visits. We also check the basement, because that is usually where they get in.
Rats in basement calls spike in Loveland after heavy rain. We set large snap traps and tamper-resistant bait stations outside, then seal the low entry points along the foundation. We check the floor drains and the crawl space vents, because those are common entry routes during wet weather.
Attic infestations are common in Loveland's older homes, especially where trees touch the roofline. We inspect the attic for entry points, set traps in the insulation runs, and seal the roof line gaps with hardware cloth. We also trim back tree branches that give rodents a bridge into the attic.
Exclusion is the permanent fix for Loveland homes. We seal foundation gaps, pipe penetrations, attic vents, and garage door corners with copper mesh, steel wool, and exclusion sealant. We check every opening wider than a quarter inch, because that is all a mouse needs to get through.
